Blue Violet (Common)

Habitat

They are found in wet places and common in yards.

Description

The purple, uneven flower is darker toward the center with hairy side petals and the lower petal has a “spur” on it inside. The petals and leaves all have lines (veins) on them. The flower is on a tall leafless stalk. The leaves are heart-shaped on their own stem. They bloom April through June.
