Cost for Licensing Full-sized, Full Color Art for Educational Projects

Exploring Nature now licenses Sheri Amsel’s artwork for one-time-use projects. With an art license, we will provide a high resolution version of the artwork for use in your project that will be sent via email or server upload (as requested).

"Full-sized, Full Color Art" is considered to be a large graphic that depicts a more complex concept (i.e. life cycle, body system, ecology concept, habitat poster, etc.) and measures from 5" x 5" up to 8.5" x 11".

The cost is $100 per graphic for use in the development of printed or digital products, i.e. books, websites, games, etc.

To purchase your art license:

  1. Download the licensing agreement (PDF at bottom).
  2. Print it out, fill it out and sign it.
  3. Scan it, upload it and email it to: sheri@exploringnature.org. Include a link to the art on the website that you are licensing.
  4. Or send the completetd license and your check to us via snail mail: Exploring Nature, PO Box 84, Elizabethtown, NY 12932.  Again please email a link to the art on the website that you are licensing.
  5. Now go to the Exploring Nature Store and pay for your art.

Please note that subscribing members can use artwork in their educational projects (that are not for sale) for free. For these purely educational projects, please apply for a complimentary use license, by emailing with your project description: sheri@exploringnature.org

Citing Research References

When you research information you must cite the reference. Citing for websites is different from citing from books, magazines and periodicals. The style of citing shown here is from the MLA Style Citations (Modern Language Association).

When citing a WEBSITE the general format is as follows.
Author Last Name, First Name(s). "Title: Subtitle of Part of Web Page, if appropriate." Title: Subtitle: Section of Page if appropriate. Sponsoring/Publishing Agency, If Given. Additional significant descriptive information. Date of Electronic Publication or other Date, such as Last Updated. Day Month Year of access < URL >.
