Forest Fires and Animal Populations – Critical Thinking (6-8th Grade NGSS)

After reading about the Effects of Forest Fires, describe how each of these animals may be affected by fire and might adapt to the changes in their habitat post-fire. (HINT: Would they die, flee ahead of the fire, burrow underground, relocate after the fire, move in to hunt small survivors that now lack forest cover, eat new growth after the fire, etc. Explain.)
