How does this work?
1) Look through the site and find the artwork you wish to license and send us a link. Check out some of the art that people have licensed.
2) Or request specific images and we’ll send you links from which to choose. Email: sheri@exploringnature.org.
3) Once we agree on a licensing fee, we’ll email a license agreement. Sign and send back with payment.
4) We’ll email a high resolution version of art for your project.
Pricing:
• Small spot art: $25 per piece (one time use contract).
• Small pre-made art or diagrams (8.5 x 11): $100-300 as plain art or pre-made pdf diagrams (one time use contract).
• Larger pre-made or made-to-order art (11×17″ and up) for signage: $300-500 per piece (depending upon the complexity) as plain art tiffs or pre-made pdf diagrams (one time use contract).
• Larger pre-made or made-to-order art with full layout (ready for the fabricator): $500-800 per piece (depending upon the complexity) (one time use contract).
Multiple piece projects will get a per piece discount, depending upon the layout needs.
Why don’t I give my art away for free? (Yes, people do ask me this…)
I have a job, like everyone else. My job is creating science and nature illustrations (and content). Every piece of art or content that I create takes hours of work. Every time I sell an art license, it helps me pay bills.
I do occasionally give away art to students working on projects or educational non-profits whose missions I support. If you think you have a non-profit mission that needs my art, I welcome your request. Email me: sheri@exploringnature.org
